The Tessenderlo Group is a diversified Belgian group, which is active in a number of different segments in the chemical and plastics industries. At the end of 2001, the group employed a workforce of approximately 8,000 people in a total of 112 operations in 22 countries.
Tessenderlo Suisse Ltd., Bad Zurzach (Switzerland) This is a subsidiary of Tessenderlo (Belgium), which focuses chiefly on the sale of water treatment products, predominantly ferric chloride. Switzerland, southern Germany and western Austria make up the company’s principal market for the liquid form. The production of ferric chloride hexahydrate (in the form of granules) is a speciality of Tessenderlo Suisse and is marketed all over the world.

Over many years, the Tessenderlo Group has developed a policy of recycling pickling acids, which has enabled it to optimise production costs and increase its competitive edge.
